The POCSO Act has strong punishments for people who break the law. Depending on the crime, the person can go to jail for several years and may also have to pay a big fine.
If a doctor, teacher, family member, or anyone comes to know about child abuse, they must report it. Not reporting can also lead to legal action.
During the court process, the child should feel safe and supported. The law says:

Interviews must be done in a safe environment
The child’s comfort and mental health come first
The law also makes sure that the child’s identity stays secret. No names or photos can be shared in the media or public.
